Jimmy was watching a movie with his girlfriend Sarah. She told him to quickly get her an energy drink from the gas station, but refused to go with him. To try to keep her happy, he was speeding down the road when he heard his phone ping. He glanced down, “Are you there yet?” his girlfriend asked. As he responded, he didn’t see the red light, then felt the impact. Everything faded to silence.

Jimmy felt something wet and warm dripping from his head, causing him to wake up. He was hanging upside down, strapped to the seat of the car by his seatbelt like a monkey tangled in a vine. The crash briefly replayed in his mind. He felt like he was going to die. To the left, the driver’s window was completely shattered. “How did I get here?” he wondered. Images of headlights growing brighter and brighter, and flying through the air as the car was flipping several times entered his mind.

The person in the car behind him threw open the door and ran over. “OMG, are you okay?!?!” “Please help me out! Call for help!” Jimmy tried to say, but all that came out was a mangled groan. The bystander fumbled with the jammed seatbelt, but it was stuck. Jimmy passed out. After a few minutes, which felt like hours, his eyes fluttered open. Flashing lights and screaming sirens approach from a distance. “Hang on, help is on the way! Stay with me!” the bystander begs. Jimmy wonders, “am i going to die?” Out of nowhere, everything goes black.

After a few days, he returns home.  “Sarah?” She’s not in her usual spot. He looks for her all around the house, and finds her sobbing in their room. He sits next to her on the bed. “Did I do something wrong?” Silence. Jimmy knows that he must have done something really bad to upset her. “What’s your problem? Why are you ignoring me?” he asks. Sarah lets out a sigh, lays down in her bed and pulls the covers over her head. Jimmy was frustrated and decided to leave her alone. She probably needs to cool off before she’s ready to talk.

A week later, he finds himself at a funeral. There are people there that he loves, like his family, and most of all - his girlfriend. He thought it was a funeral for someone he didn't know, but there were no unfamiliar faces. His family was blocking his view of the tombstone. He asked someone who it is, but yet again, he is ignored. Once he saw a gap, he squeezed through, so he was at the front. As he looked at the casket, he saw himself. “No, that's impossible!” His eyes were drawn to the tombstone, and saw his name - Jimmy Landroth Calvot. He notices the date-the exact date he got in the crash. “No…” he thought. He walked over to his girlfriend who was still sobbing - but was looking at her phone. As he looks over her shoulder, he sees The Last Text that ended his life.
